Chemical Exposures and Health

Approximately 70% of diseases are caused by environmental factors as opposed to genetic factors. The exposome is the totality of chemicals that an individual is exposed to throughout their life. By monitoring the exposome and the diseases that chemical exposures may lead to, we can influence change in chemical exposures to lower disease-risks. We aim to perform computational analysis Canadian and American health database information to relate chemicals found in bodily fluids to disease risk.
